Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-10. These terms govern your use of Threadline (“the service”, “we”, “us”).

1. Who you are contracting with

You are entering into these terms with the operator of Threadline. Support is available at threadline-solutions@polsia.app.

2. Using Threadline

To use Threadline you create an account. By doing so you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years old.
  • You will provide accurate sign-up information.
  • You will keep your sign-in credentials safe.
  • One account per person — you are responsible for activity under your account.

If you sign in by email and password, you are responsible for choosing a strong password. We strongly recommend signing in with Google as well, because you can revoke Threadline’s access from one place and password compromise doesn’t cascade into your Gmail.

3. Account and security

We never store your password in plain text. If you registered by email, authentication is handled by our identity provider, which hashes credentials before storage. If you sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google and we hold only an OAuth access token and a refresh token for the scopes listed in Section 4.

You can revoke your account, your sign-in method, or your Gmail connection at any time from Settings. Revoking Gmail immediately stops new sync; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to the data we already hold.

4. Connecting Gmail — Google authorization

The Gmail-powered features of Threadline run because you grant us a set of narrowly scoped permissions through Google’s OAuth consent flow. The exact scopes we request are:

  • openid, email, profile— standard sign-in identity.
  • gmail.readonly— fetch and triage inbound mail.
  • gmail.send— send a message on your behalf only when you click Send in the app.
  • gmail.modify— archive a thread (remove the INBOX label) when you archive it. We do not permanently delete mail and we do not empty Trash or Spam.
  • calendar.events— create a matching Calendar event when you accept a scheduling proposal.

We request offline access, which means Google gives us a refresh token that lets us sync your mailbox between sessions. We use both tokens solely to provide the features above, inside your active Threadline session, and we don’t use either token to read mail outside the app.

You can revoke any of the above scopes at any time from your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps. Revocation is instant on Google’s side.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Threadline to:

  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person.
  • Send mail from anyone’s account other than your own, or use Threadline to coordinate spam or unsolicited bulk mail.
  • Attempt to access another user’s data, scrape the service, or probe its security.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise try to extract source code.
  • Use the service to attack Google’s infrastructure, abuse Google’s APIs, or bypass Gmail’s rate limits.
  • Use the service in violation of any applicable law, or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it for other users.

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates this section. Where the violation is reversible, we will usually give notice first and a chance to fix it.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Threadline has three tiers:

  • Free— included for everyone, no payment required.
  • Pro— paid single-user tier, monthly or annual.
  • Team— paid multi-user tier, monthly or annual.

Pro and Team are billed by our payment processor (Stripe). Monthly and annual cadences are available; the annual option works out to roughly a 17% saving compared to paying month-to-month. We don’t fix a particular discount figure here because pricing can change — the live numbers are on the /pricing page and in the picker at checkout.

Prices are computed server-side at the moment of checkout, not from your browser, so they can’t be tampered with. Tax, where applicable, is added by the processor.

7. Cancellation

Paid subscription cancellation is handled by the hosted billing provider. When a supported cancellation control is available, Threadline will surface it in Settings → Billing. Cancellation applies to the nextbilling period — you keep full access through the end of the current period, and you will not be charged again after that. A local plan display or status change is not itself a cancellation.

8. Refunds

We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months or partial years. If you cancel mid-period, you keep access through the end of the paid period and aren’t charged for the period after that.

You can downgrade (for example Pro → Free) or switch cadence (monthly → annual) at any time; the change takes effect at the end of the current period.

9. Intellectual property

The Threadline app, brand, visual identity, and UI/UX are owned by us. The name “Threadline”, the wordmark, and the look-and-feel of the product are our trade dress.

You retain all rights in your own email content, your drafts, your inbox rules, your voice profile, and your feedback labels. By using the service you give us the limited license we need to operate those features on your behalf — for example, to fetch the threads you asked us to triage, to send a draft when you click Send, or to call the model with a thread snippet to produce a draft. Nothing in this section transfers ownership of your content to us.

10. Service availability

We aim for high availability but provide no Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the current plan tier. Some features depend on Google’s Gmail and Calendar APIs; outtages or rate-limiting on Google’s side may temporarily affect those features, and we don’t control them.

We will do our best to give advance notice of scheduled maintenance through the app itself. Emergency maintenance may happen without notice.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Threadline is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.

AI-generated drafts reflect a model’s best guess at what you might write. You are responsible for reviewing any draft, scheduled send, or scheduling proposal before it goes out — we don’t read your inbox for you and we can’t guarantee the model will always match your intent.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to your use of Threadline will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the liability. If you haven’t paid us anything, our total liability will not exceed USD $100.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where local law gives you non-waivable consumer rights, this section does not override them.

13. Termination

By you.You can close your account at any time from Settings → Billing. Paid subscription cancellation uses the hosted billing provider control shown there when available. You may also request full data deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

By us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 5 (Acceptable use), that have been abandoned for an extended period after reasonable notice, or that we are required to terminate by law.

Effect of termination. On termination you may request data deletion under the Privacy Policy. The sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability) survive.

14. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and surface a notice in-app before the change takes effect, so you have a chance to review and, if you don’t agree to the new terms, cancel your subscription or close your account.
